Syria obtains title of Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) for university students in Egypt

Cairo, SANA- With the participation of the best 300 teams out of 40,000 ones, Syria won the title of Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) In the 47th World Final competitions hosted by Egyptian city of Luxor over several days.

Dr. Samih Jammoul, coordinator of the Programming Championship at Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, told SANA on Friday that the institute’s team won the title of champion of Africa and Arab world after competitions that lasted for several days.

The participating teams compete for five hours, during which students solve a set of problems that require a high ability of analysis, logical thinking, and programming algorithms.

2500 students that represent 2000 universities from 111 countries participated in the current edition of the competition.
