Damascus, SANA-Health Ministry pays great attention to heart patients, as the number of cardiac medical services provided in the Ministry’s hospitals and its affiliated independent authorities during the past year reached 800,000 free and semi-free services.
During the ceremony of announcing the Syrian Association for Cardiac Perfusion Wednesday at the Cham Hotel in Damascus, the Health Minister, Dr.Hassan al-Ghabbash pointed out the importance of the Association in terms of developing cardiac perfusion services in Syria by qualifying specialized experts with high professional and scientific competence in accordance with international standards.
The Minister welcomed every new idea or vision that enriches the work, improves the performance of doctors, and contributes to raising the level of their aspirations, whether building the health facilities or cadres capable of raising the health level and providing medical services to all citizens.
In turn, Head of the Association, Dr. Muhammad Bashar Ezzat, added that the Association aims to develop cardiac perfusion services in Syria, set appropriate standards for the work of its experts in government and private hospitals.
Director of the General Authority of Damascus Hospital and General Authority of al-Basel Hospital for Heart Diseases and Surgery, Dr. Ragheb Suleiman, pointed out the importance of the association in finding many ways and means to sign agreements with the Ministry of Health, Higher Education and Scientific Research and with the Cardiology Association to find a job classification for the category of workers.
