Damascus, SANA- Means to enhance bilateral cooperation in oil and mineral resources sector were discussed on Monday by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Firas Qaddour, and the Chinese Ambassador to Syria, Shi Hongwei.
The focus was on petroleum exploration, survey teams, and investment of mineral resources in Syria, with the aim of enhancing production in these sectors.
Dr. Qaddour attached great importance to improving the infrastructure of the oil sector and implementing development projects by taking advantage of modern technologies and Chinese expertise in this field, along with professional training programs that China provides to national cadres.
The Chinese ambassador, in turn, voiced his country’s readiness to enhance bilateral cooperation in the mentioned domains, noting that Chinese companies have the ability and experience necessary to contribute to achieving development in these vital industries.
