Syrian-Iranian talks on boosting joint economic and investment cooperation

Tehran, SANA- Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer al-Khalil, discussed with Hussein Dehghan, Chairman of the Bonyad Mostazafin Group, one of the largest economic groups in Iran, the possibility of joint cooperation to implement a group of projects in Syria.

During the meeting held in Tehran, Minister al-Khalil reviewed the advantages of investing in Syria and the facilities provided by the Syrian government in priority areas, in which cooperation and partnership between the two countries can be possible.

 

In turn, Dehghan gave a presentation on the group’s capabilities in various fields.

Dehghan expressed readiness to cooperate with the Syrian side for the benefit of both sides.

“Bonyad Mostazafin” Group is active in various fields such as tourism, industry, agriculture, engineering services, information technology, hotel management, and others.

In addition, official meetings continued between the Syrian and Iranian sides over two consecutive days in the capital, Tehran, to reach a final version of the protocol of the joint supreme committee that will be held soon.

“The discussions aim to agree on a number of agreements that will be signed at the conclusion of the work of the joint committee”, Assistant Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, Dr. Thuraya Al-Idlibi, said in a statement to a SANA reporter.
