Geneva-SANA-United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres called for reaching a new truce agreement in the Gaza Strip, expressing his regret that it had stopped.
“I deeply regret that military operations have begun again in Gaza,” Guterres said/
In turn, spokesman for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Geneva, said: “The end of the truce means that hell has returned to the land of Gaza,” adding, “With the resumption of the war, we fear that the continuation of humanitarian aid is now in doubt.”
The spokesman warned that the Rafah crossing is currently closed and that “the situation needs to resume the humanitarian truce and not return to a massacre of war.” .
