Baghdad, SANA Rescuing the displaced Syrians, who were forced by the armed terrorist gangs to leave their houses, doesn’t necessitate an international humanitarian effort, but a firm and serious one for drying up the sources of financing, arming and training terrorism, Syria’s Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jada’an al-Dandah said Saturday.
The Iraqi government should exert big efforts for tackling the difficult situation which the displaced Syrians are suffering from, Al-Dandah added during a meeting in Baghdad with head of the
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Iraq Patrick
Youssef.
He pointed out that the people of other countries will suffer from what the displaced Syrians and Iraqis are suffering from unless the US and its allies stop their double standard policy towards fighting
terrorism in a country and supporting, arming and training it in
another one.
For his part, Youssef appreciated Syria’s facilitations for the ICRC teams , hoping that cooperation will continue for easing the suffering of the displaced people.
