Syrian-Russian press conference on terrorist attack that targeted Military Academy in Homs

Damascus, SANA- Director of Political Department of Syrian Arab Army, Major General Hassan Suleiman said that Syrian Arab Army, in coordination with friendly Russian forces operating in Syria, launched a series of specific operations and concentrated strikes targeting the criminal terrorist organizations that committed the terrorist attack on the Military Academy in Homs on the 5th of last month.

That came during a joint Syrian-Russian press conference to shed light on the terrorist attack thst targeted the Military College.

Sulaiman said the Syrai-Russian joint operations led to the destruction of all targeted sites and headquarters, including ammunition and equipment depots, in addition to eliminating of hundreds of terrorists affiliated with the so-called “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” and , “the Turkestan Islamic Party”, and other terrorist organizations”.

Suleiman noted that joint Syrian-Russian operations weakened the terrorists combat and organizational capabilities and created a state of chaos and panic among them following the huge losses they suffered.

In turn, head of Russian coordination center in Damascus and Central Region, Major General Vadim Collet, said, “We are deeply shocked by the terrorist attack on Homs, and all those involved in this crime will get the punishment they deserve”.

He added that the aerial and artillerly strikes targeted 23 observation sites for terrorists, their headquarters, training camps and 35 tunnels and underground shelters.
