Under patronage of President al-Assad, 12th general conference of Teachers’ Syndicate starts

Damascus, SANA- Under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad, activities of the 12th general conference of Teachers Syndicate began on Saturday.

The conference started under the slogan “With knowledge, awareness, we fortify children and build the country”.

Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal conveyed in the greetings of President Bashar Al-Assad to Syrian teachers, who were a true supporter alongside the Syrian Arab Army in fighting extremist terrorist ideology.

Hilal pointed out that what are undergoing in Palestine of brutal genocide, and killing of children and civilians, prove the brutality of Zionist entity, and a clear evidence of its fear of the legendary phenomenon of resistance.

He added that the conference would be a basic starting point in enhancing awareness among future generations, builders of the future, raising the banner of Arabism, freedom and independence.

For his part, Prime Minister, Eng.Hussein Arnous, stressed that the teacher segment comes at the forefront of the government’s concerns, noting the importance of the teachers role in spreading awareness and devoting the concepts of national unity, cooperation and solidarity, and that Syria is one with all its components.

Arnous said that the teacher builds values and knowledge and his role is important during the next stage in building the human being, and in correcting the values and concepts that prevailed during the period of darkness that the terrorists tried to impose during the unjust war on Syria, in addition to that providing all support to teachers.

In turn, the Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad Amer al-Mardini, pointed out that the role of the Teachers Syndicate as a national institution represents a basic segment that has carried out the responsibility of activating the younger generations.

Mardini also stressed the importance of the Syndicate’s role in supporting teachers and providing their opportunities in various fields to raise their status in society and meet their various health and professional needs.

Ambassador of Palestine to Syria, Samir Al-Rifai, said that his attendance at the conference was to confirm that the Palestinian and Syrian people are one people, noting that all conferences of popular organizations in Syria stressed their support for the Palestinian cause and the struggle of the Palestinian people against the occupation until victory.
