Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, affirmed the significance of supporting the Palestinian resistance by all means and the Palestinian people facing the Zionist war, as well as the axis of resistance will continue to confront the fascist Israeli occupation and its expansionist schemes.
Sabbagh met Sunday a parliamentary delegation from the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, headed by Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ibrahim Azizi.
He noted that Syria and Iran stand united in the face of attempts at Zionist-American hegemony in the region, reiterating that Syria continues in standing alongside the Palestinian people to repel the aggression, and to stop the massacres committed against it, until liberating the occupied Palestinian territories.
For his part, Azizi underlined that the historic relations between Syria and Iran are deeply rooted, and the necessity of strengthening parliamentary diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries to defend their issues, at the top of which is Palestinian cause.
Azizi stressed that the axis of resistance will employ all energies and capabilities to defend the Palestinian people and strengthen the steadfastness of the resistance in occupied Palestine, as Iran has sent many delegations and messages to allied and friendly countries to achieve this goal.
