UNRWA calls for flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza without obstacles

Vienna, SANA- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called for facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip, which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, two weeks after the brutal Israeli aggression on it.

“We called for the continuation of flow of humanitarian and medical aid into Gaza,” Reuters quoted UNRWA Spokesperson Tamara al-Rifai, as saying.

“The trucks that have arrived so far are only a few drops in the face of the enormous needs of people on the street,” al-Rifai added.

With the continuing disaster that the Gaza Strip is experiencing as a result of the aggression and siege, the occupation only allowed the entry of two aid convoys through Rafah crossing during the past two days, carrying very limited quantities of food and medicine, which constitute only a drop in the ocean of the increasing humanitarian needs of the people of the Gaza Strip.
