Havana, SANA- Syria and Cuba discussed means and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the pharmaceutical field.
That came during a meeting biding Chairman of Planning and International Cooperation Commission, Dr. Fadi Salti al-Khalil, and Vice President of Bio Cuba Pharma, the Cuban organization of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries, Maida Marwi,
The meeting was held on the sidelines of Syria’s participation in G77 and China summit.
The two sides discussed securing the arrival of medicines and vaccines to Syria, in addition to a number of outstanding issues and obstacles facing health, trade and economic cooperation.
Marwi underscored her country’s keenness to communicate and cooperate with Syrian government, in addition to upgrade relations between the two friendly countries, and overcome all obstacles that hinder development, especially the illegitimate sanctions and US embargo on Cuba and Syria.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Syria in Cuba, Dr. Ghassan Obeid and Diplomatic Attaché, Ali Abbas.
