Tourism Ministry, Syria Youth Imprint Foundation sign MoU to organize activities

Damascus, SANA. The Tourism Ministry and Syria Youth Imprint Foundation signed a memo of understanding for organizing activities, festivals, and tourism events.

As per the memo, the Ministry will organize tours for Arab and foreign delegations invited by the Foundation, setting aside a booth at expos inside Syria to promote local social initiatives, and providing hotel discounts.

It also stipulates for the Foundation providing care for families of martyrs from the Ministry and enrolling them in Shifa program, making documentaries on the damage caused in archeological sites due to the crisis, and organizing festivals and training programs.

At the signing, Tourism Minister Bishr Yazigi stressed the importance of youth and social initiatives in promoting tourism, while head of the board of trustees at the Foundation Anas Younes expressed commitment to establishing partnerships between the civil sector in the government in order to develop local societies.

A number of artistic activities, competitions, and sporting events were organized on the sideline of the signing.

Syria Youth Imprint Foundation is a non-profit civil organization established in 2011.
