Syrian-Venezuelan talks to enhance agricultural cooperation exchange of products

Rome, SANA- Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Mohammed Hassan Qatana, discussed Thursday with his Venezuelan counterpart Castro Soteldo cooperation between both countries , and ways to develop them , especially in the agricultural field and product exchange.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the activities of the General Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the Italian capital of Rome.

Minister Qatana described as very strong and deep the relations between Syria and Venezuela, adding that the presence of a large Syrian community has become part of the Venezuelan people and boosted the relations of both countries.

He pointed out the significance of developing economic ties, facilitating the exchange of manufactured agricultural goods and production.

The Venezuelan Minister, in turn, praised the fraternal relations between both peoples, particularly with the presence of a large Syrian community in Venezuela, including businessmen who could play an important role in developing cooperation and enhancing trade exchange.

He noted the historic visit of the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Syria which contributed to consolidating the brotherly relations between the two countries.
