Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, has received a letter from Belarusian Prime Minister, Roman Golovchenko, regarding the development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and expanding its prospects, particularly in the economic fields and intra-trade.
Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, Yuri Sluka, delivered the letter to Eng. Arnous.
Eng. Arnous, for his part, affirmed that the relations between Syria and Belarus are solid and based on the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples in facing pressures and blockade.
He stressed the willingness of the Syrian government to develop cooperation relations with Belarus in various fields, and to enhance trade exchange via the exchange of goods and materials available in the two markets.
The Premier asserted that all necessary measures should be taken to implement the agreements and memos of understanding signed between the two sides according to specific timetables and mechanisms, and the need to activate the role of the business sector in the two countries to carry out joint investment projects.
He expressed appreciation and thanks to the Republic of Belarus for standing by Syria in facing the repercussions of the earthquake and for providing relief and medical assistance to those affected.
For his part, Belarusian Ambassador Sluka affirmed his country’s determination to develop and expand economic cooperation and trade exchange with Syria and to find various types of cooperation that serve the common interests of the two countries.
