Algiers, SANA- With participation of Syria, the 54th Algiers International Fair starts activities on Tuesday at Exhibition Palace in Algiers, and will last until June 25th.
“Syria’s participation is organized by Authority and General Organization for International Exhibitions and Markets in cooperation with Regional Office of Arab Exporters and Importers Union in Damascus,” Director General of Local Production and Exports Support and Development Authority, Thaer Fayyad, told SANA.
Fayyad hailed the distinguished bilateral relations binding Syria and Algeria.
He underlined the importance of Algerian market for the Syrian products, as it constitutes a major destination for Syrian exports, especially textile products, as Algiers International Fair is considered one of the most important international fairs held in North Africa.
He noted that 20 companies from various textile, clothing, chemical, and household equipment industries will participate in the fair.
Fayyad stressed that Syria’s participation comes as a part of seeking to promote the national industry in foreign markets and open new markets for it.
