Damascus, SANA- The 5th Conference of Syrian Researchers in Homeland and Abroad 2023 kicked off on Monday morning at al-Assad National Library in Damascus.
The conference is organized by the Higher Commission for Scientific Research, in cooperation with Foreign and Expatriates Ministry, Syrian Virtual University(SVU) and Arab School of Science and Technology(ASST).
The conference is being held under the title “Conference of Syrian Researchers in Homeland and Abroad… Towards a knowledge-based national economy”.
The three-day conference aims at providing an effective and sustainable communication environment between Syrian researchers in homeland and abroad to reach effective, research and applied partnerships among the researchers.
More than 60 researchers are participating in the conference, either personally or virtually (remotely), as they will focus on advanced technology and capacity building in information and communication fields, smart systems and many other scientific issues.
The Commission will publish the distinguished research papers in the Syrian Journal of Science and Innovation approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The journal is specialized in publishing distinguished and influential research papers in various scientific fields.
An exhibition of scientific posters including 16 scientific papers will be also organized during the conference.
