Moscow, SANA-Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow, Bashar al-Jaafari, said that relations between Syria and Russia has reached the stage of alliance and fraternity during the latest years, adding that peaceful contacts between peoples of Russia and the Arabs overcame any hostile approaches.
Jaafari comments came Friday while attending a celebration on the 141st anniversary of the foundation of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society and opening a representation for it at the Library of “Foreign Letters” in the Russian capital city of Moscow.
“Presidents Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin founded in 2000 the bases of friendship between our two states that reached the stage of alliance and fraternity during the last years,” al-Jaafari added.
