Minsk, SANA- The 11th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Machinery MILEX-2023, and the International Scientific conference on Military-technical cooperation in the field of defense and security was opened in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk.
Delegations from more than 30 countries, including Syria took part in the event.
Belarus Defense Minister, Lieutenant Gen. Viktor Khrenin said, in an opening speech, that this exhibition has proven over years that it is not only an important event for organizations in the defense sector of the economy, but rather an effective forum for developing the military and technical military cooperation between countries and international organizations.
MILEX-2023 includes the most advanced models of weaponry and military equipment designed by engineering companies of Belarus, Russia, the CSTO states and other countries of near and far abroad.
Lieutenant Gen. Khrenin hailed the remarkable international presence in the activities of the exhibition and the conference.
Syria is represented by its Ambassador in Minsk, Mohammad al-Omrani.
The exhibition lasts until May 2oth.
