All ports in Tartous and Lattakia closed due to weather conditions

Lattakia, SANA- All ports were closed in Tartous and Lattakia provinces except for the commercial port in Tartous due to the prevailing weather conditions, General Directorate of ports announced Wednesday.

Director General of Ports, Brigadier General Eng. Samer Kobrusly, said in a statement to SANA that all ports, except for commercial port in Tartous, were closed to fishing and marine navigation due to high wind speed and high sea waves, taking into consideration all precautionary measures to maintain public safety.
