Kremlin: Presidents Putin and al-Assad had very substantive talks

Moscow-SANA-The Kremlin confirmed that the talks between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad were very substantial, and dealt with several areas, including the economy.

“Very substantial discussions took place at the highest level, preceded by contacts between departments, especially through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense”. RT quoted Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying Thursday in press statements.

Peskov added, “As a result of Wednesday talks between the two presidents, a decision was made to sign, within the upcoming weeks or month, a very important document on further development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.”

Peskov indicated that the talks also touched upon the relations between Syria and Turkey.
