New York, SANA- First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Dmitry Polyanskiy, has stressed the need to stop the repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, the most recent of which was the attack that targeted points in and around Damascus which caused the martyrdom of five people and the injury of 15 others.
“We strongly condemn the Israeli military acts as a flagrant violation of international law, and we strongly urge the Israeli side to stop armed provocations against Syria and refrain from steps that are fraught with dangerous consequences for the entire region,” Polyanskiy said during a session of the Security Council on Wednesday.
Polyanskiy added that Moscow proceeds from the fact that the continuation of such practices is completely unacceptable, especially when many countries of the world, including Russia, are helping the Syrians to overcome the repercussions of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria.
