Amman, SANA- The Jordanian Seismological Observatory (JSO) recorded on Thursday an earthquake measuring 3.4 magnitude on the Richter scale, north of the Dead Sea.
Jordanian Petra News Agency quoted JSO President Ghassan Sweidan as saying that the quake occurred at 5:36 a.m. (local time) at a depth of 7 km, noting that such of weak tremors is rarely felt.
Sweidan pointed out that this region witnesses a frequent recording of earthquakes.
