Ambassador Abdul-Hadi calls for supporting Syrian efforts to address quake impacts

Lattakia, SANA- Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi, the Director General of the Arab Relations Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) called on the international community to stand by Syria during the quake ordeal and to support the Syrian efforts in securing shelter for the affected families.

In the aftermath of the earthquake disaster, Ambassador Abdul-Hadi, has met the Governor of Lattakia Amer Hilal and been briefed on the extent of the destruction in Lattakia Governorate.

“We cannot stand idly by, Palestine was the first to take action and support the Syrians from the outset, dispatching doctors, paramedics, civil defense and rescue teams, in addition to relief supplies” the Ambassador said in a statement to reporters.

Ambassador Abdul-Hadi hailed the Arab solidarity with Syria over the devastating effects of the earthquake, attaching great importance to enhance relief efforts to secure housing for those affected.
