Aleppo, SANA- The Republic of Chechnya stands by the Syrian brothers following the earthquake that struck their cities after years of war, Deputy Mufti of Chechnya Republic, Sheikh Sufyan Kurbanov.
Kurbanov’s remarks came during his meeting with the Governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diyab, on Monday after his arrival at Aleppo International Airport on board a humanitarian and relief plane.
He considered that the assistance provided by the Republic of Chechnya is a natural duty towards the friendly Syrian people to provide humanitarian support to those affected.
Kurbanov expressed the solidarity of the people and leadership in Chechnya with the brothers in Syria.
In turn, Aleppo Governor highlighted the importance of this humanitarian initiative from the friendly Republic of Chechnya to support the Syrian people in their ordeal as a result of the catastrophe of the devastating earthquake that struck a number of Syrian provinces.
The Governor hailed the positions of the Chechen people and government.
