Aleppo, SANA- A Libyan plane, loaded with medical, food and humanitarian aid arrived at Aleppo International Airport on Tuesday evening to help the earthquake-affected people.
“The Libyan plane carries 40 tons of humanitarian aid, consisting of foodstuffs, medical supplies, blankets, and an ambulance,” member of the executive office concerned with Aleppo Governorate Council, Dr. Abdel-Qader Dawalibi, stated in a statement to SANA reporter.
Dawalibi added that the provided aid aims to support the shelters located in Aleppo province, and to complement the relief support efforts provided by some friendly and brotherly countries.
A deadly earthquake jolted Syria on Monday, which led to the death of hundreds of victims and severe damages, as there are dozens of buildings collapsed and many cracked, and rescue teams are still working to remove the rubble.
