“Made in Syria” festival opens for public at Al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Damascus

Damascus, SANA- With the participation of 75 national industrial companies, the activities of the monthly “Made in Syria” shopping festival in its 140th edition, organized by Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Damascus Governorate, were launched on Thursday evening at al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Damascus.

Minister of Industry, Ziyad Sabbagh told SANA thay the event is very important as a platform for national industrial companies to bring their various products, especially food and different kinds of products to the consumer, which every houses needs at the lowest prices.

The Minister added that the Ministry is keen on encouraging industry chambers and all parties concerned to continue holding such festivals and exhibitions due to their necessity and importance in light of the current economic conditions.

What distinguishes this round is that it is held at the beginning of the new year, the approaching month of Ramadan, and the need for families to shop and buy supplies, and the large discounts offered by the industrialists and companies participating in the festival, which amounted up to 50 percent for some goods, Governor of Damascus, Muhammad Tariq Kreishati said.

The festival lasts until February 8, and the participating companies offer tenders and discounts on various products.
