Moscow, SANA- The documentary film «По следам сирийских мудрецов» (In the footsteps of the Syrian Wise men) has been shown on Russia-K; a television channel that belongs to the state-controlled VGTRK group.
In an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow, Sergey Shumakov, the General Director of Russia-K TV said that the first film screening on the channel was on Monday and that it will last till 31st December with the aim of introducing Russian people to the Syrian civilization with its rich historical heritage.
Shown in episodes, “In the Footsteps of the Syrian Wise Men”, during its first episode included scenes and interviews, the most outstanding of which is an interview with Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubanah Mshaweh to identify Syria’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage, which is nine thousand years old and reveals all the stages of civilizational development that mankind has passed through. However, this legacy has become a direct target for thieves, antiquities smugglers and terrorists.
Speakers noted through interviews that not only is Syria the cradle of humankind, but also it is the place of the divine religions.
