Mikdad congratulates his Belarussian new counterpart

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Fayssal Mikdad, on Thursday congratulated via a phone call Sergei Aleinik on his appointment as Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides discussed the results of the recent visit of the Belarusian Premier to Damascus and the important agreements and meetings that took place.

Mikdad stressed that this visit put the guidelines for launching bilateral relations towards further progress to reflect positively on the peoples of the two countries.

In turn, Aleinik thanked Minister Mikdad, expressing his satisfaction with the advanced level of relations between both countries in the political, economic and cultural fields.

Aleinik noted the important role of the two foreign ministries of in the next stage to follow up on carrying out of what was agreed upon between the two governments.
