Syria, Pakistan discuss enhancing health cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Dr. Hassan al-Ghobash discussed on Wednesday with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Syrian Arab Republic, Shahid Akhtar, ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation and relations in health sector.

Minister al-Ghobash pointed out to the deep-rooted relations between both countries, noting his ministry’s readiness for cooperation and coordination between the two sides, particularly in the field of automation and informatics, with regard to health strategic studies and research.

Al-Ghobash stated that the Nursing School in Pakistan is one of the most important nursing schools in the world, in addition to the high quality of raw materials used in the pharmaceutical industry, expressed his gratitude to the Pakistani government for providing health assistance during the Corona pandemic.

The Pakistani ambassador pointed out to the possibility of medical and educational development, the exchange of medical experiences, and the possibility of conducting joint surgeries by sending medical delegations.

Akhtar reiterated his government’s support to Syria and its rejection of foreign interference in its internal affairs and the unfair economic blockade imposed on Syria.
