Damascus, SANA-Embassy of the United Arab Emirates held on Friday a reception at Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts on the 51th anniversary of the Union Day.
The Emirati Chargé d’Affairs in Damascus Abdul Hakim Ibrahim Al-Nuaimi, described in a speech at the reception the relations that connect Syria and the UAE as “very strong and brotherly,” showing confidence that the Syrian people, who have built tens of civilizations throughout history, will come out of its ordeal stronger.
He referred to the strategic principles adopted by the UAE during the last 50 years in the economic, political and developmental domains.
Minister of Culture Lubanah Mshaweh, for her part, pointed out to the brotherly ties between Syria and the UAE, based on mutual respect. She also talked about Syria’s distinguished participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, Special Advisor at the Republic’s Presidency, in turn, told SANA that the Syrian-Emirates relations are very distinguished and deeply-rooted, hoping these relations would be a power for the Arab joint action.
