600 saplings planted in Hama within a national forestation campaign

Hama, SANA – Some 600 saplings were planted in the central Hama province on Tuesday within “We can make it green once again” campaign.

The campaign, which is a national volunteer initiative, was launched last month and would see the planting of a million trees all over the country.

It kicked off in Damascus Countryside where a total of 3, 500 pine seedlings were planted in al-Sabboura area.

The planting in Hama, which took place in the main park in al-Salamiyeh city, was carried out by 500 young men and women and included planting pine and cypress trees.

The campaign has the message of protecting the vegetation cover and making up for the damage that has befallen the woods and forests under the terrorist war ravaging the country since 2011.
