Syrian and Pakistani Ministers of Education visit Pakistan International School, Damascus

Damascus Countryside –SANA- The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, and his Pakistani counterpart, Dr. Rana Tanveer Hussain, visited Tuesday the Pakistan International School in Damascus countryside, to get acquainted with the educational and cultural reality there.

The visit involved many artistic and heritage performances and presentations on education and culture in both countries in addition to honoring outstanding students, their parents and a number of outstanding school workers.
The two ministers also toured the school’s children section and planted two olive trees in its garden.

In his speech, Minister Hussain stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the educational field, pointing to the keenness of the Pakistani Ministry to follow up on the conditions of school students, and to secure all their requirements and school supplies.

The Pakistani ambassador in Damascus, Shahid Akhtar, praised the distinguished relations binding the two countries, and the efforts of the students that resulted in excellence in their academic assignments.
