West fails to deny involvement in attack on Sevastopol — Russia’s UN mission

NEW YORK, SANA- Western countries failed to directly deny their involvement in the attack on Sevastopol during a UN Security Council meeting on Monday, Russia’s First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said on Monday.

“We cited facts, based on information from the Russian Defense Ministry, pointing out that Russia is forced to suspend its participation in the deal,” Polyansky wrote on his Telegram channel, “In response, interestingly enough, we heard no direct denials that the Ukrainians carried out the attacks with the help of their Western handlers. Western delegations simply blamed us ‘for the situation in general’, recalled strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, tried to scare by blaming us for the potential global hunger due to out steps, and called for an immediate return to the deal.”

The Russian diplomat also noted that developing countries “sounded cautious, emphasizing their interest in making the deal work.” “It was also worth noticing that UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths, who also delicately handled the matter, acknowledged that the use of humanitarian corridors for military purposes contradicted the agreements reached in Istanbul,” Polyansky added.

The Russian Defense Ministry earlier said that due to the fact that the Kiev regime, guided by British experts, had carried out a terrorist attack against the Black Sea Fleet and civilian vessels involved in securing the grain corridor, Russia decided to suspend participation in the implementation of agreements on the export of Ukrainian food. Earlier, the ministry reported that the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack involving nine drones and seven marine autonomous surface vehicles.
