Nearly 19 thousand tons, the estimated production of cotton in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA- The Directorate of Agriculture in Hasaka province estimated the province’s first production of cotton grown for the current season at approximately 19 thousand tons.

“The initial estimates of the production of one hectare of cotton crop are approximately 3250 kilograms on average in different areas of agricultural stability”, The Head of Hasaka Agriculture Directorate, Jalal Bilal said.

The area planted with the cotton crop in Hasaka province for the current season amounted to 5910 hectares.
