Syrian basketball coach Nour Aslou killed by terrorist sniper in Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA – Syrian basketball player-coach Nour Aslou was killed on Saturday at the hands of a terrorist sniper while she was getting out of al-Assad Sports Hall in Aleppo province.

Aslou was one of the youngest basketball coaches in Syria and she worked at al-Jalaa Club where she coached junior female basketball players. Her team ranked first in Aleppo Basketball Championship for junior female players which has been recently concluded.

After finishing the competitions of the championship, Aslou was working to prepare her team for the competitions of the local tournament, yet she was killed before finishing her honorable task.

Aslou was born in 1989 and she held a B.A in Economy and Trade. She joined al-Jalaa Club at a very young age.
