Iran renews call to provide humanitarian aid to Syria without political preconditions

Tehran, SANA- Senior Aide of the Iranian Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji discussed in a telephone call with the UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen the latest developments in Syria.

Khaji renewed Iran’s stance that rejects the western sanctions on Syria, referring to the difficult living conditions of the Syrians people due to these illegitimate sanctions.

Khaji called for increasing and speeding up the transport of the humanitarian aid to the entire Syrian territories in a fair way without any discrimination or political preconditions.

In turn, Pedrsen voiced appreciation for Iran’s cooperation to solve the Syrian crisis.
