Nur Sultan, SANA- the Syrian Arab Republic delegation to the 18th international meeting on Syria in Astana format affirmed that “the eliminating the illegal presence of any foreign forces on Syrian territory is the way to normalize conditions and draws the curtain down on the last chapter of the aggression against Syria”, pointing out that “the current Turkish regime who is the guarantor of terrorist groups lacks the minimum level of credibility and reliability”.
Dr. Ayman Susan head of the Syrian Arab Republic delegation said in a press conference at the conclusion of the meeting “the Turkish regime is beating the drums of aggression and continues targeting the Syrian territory, killing innocent people under false pretexts and arguments. Erdogan and his regime are aware, more than anybody else , that are lying all the time, and they are unable to escape, hide the accumulated internal political and economic crises by exporting them abroad, employ it in the upcoming presidential elections in their efforts to stop the escalating deterioration suffered by a large segment of the Turkish people”.
Susan said that “Syria, after the achievements in combating terrorism, continues the efforts to consolidate stability and overcome the impacts of the terrorist aggressions by expanding national reconciliations, settling the status of citizens thank to the successive amnesty decrees, providing all installations and facilities to serve the return of the displaced to their homeland, providing the accommodation for a decent life by launching a reconstruction process of what has been destroyed by the terrorist groups despite the unjust sanctions imposed on the Syrian people and the obstacles placed by hostile countries to revive their faltering project in Syria”.
Susan stressed that “the issue of the missing and abductees by the Turkish regime and other terrorist groups poses a primary priority for the Syrian government and will exert all the efforts to secure their return to their families and an end to their suffering ” and called on the necessity to the exert pressure on the Turkish regime not to exploit this humanitarian issue in serve his own agendas and in serve of his aggression on Syria”.
Susan cited that Switzerland’s total bet on Western policies and joining to coercive measures, whether against Syria or Russia, means its abandonment of its neutrality, and therefore it is no longer a suitable place to hold to hold more meetings concerning the Committee on Discussing the Constitution, and this matter is currently subject to consultation between the concerned parties.
Holding successful meetings to resolve the crisis requires providing good conditions, Susan noted.
Susan stressed that an independent, renewable, and united Syria will remained so because of the steadfastness and sacrifices of its people, and that those who beat the drums of war will taste the bitterness of defeat, and that the occupation will inevitably end, and the whole world will tell the story of the emergence of a new world order from Syria, a world in which justice prevails, in which everyone enjoys prosperity, and all forms of hegemony and autonomy of international decision-making are excluded.
Susan thanked the Republic of Kazakhstan for the good hospitability and organization, expressed his appreciation to the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their continuous support in the battle against terrorism and the consolidation of stability in Syria.
