Russian air defenses intercept four Ukrainian Tochka-U missiles

MOSCOW, SANA-Russian air defense systems intercepted four Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missiles in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and the Kharkov Region and three shells of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system in the Kharkov Region and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Friday.

“In the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems shot down two aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force: a Su-25 plane near the community of Dolgenkoye in the Kharkov Region and a MiG-29 jet in the area of the community of Ingulets in the Dnepropetrovsk Region,” the spokesman said.

The Russian air defense capabilities also destroyed five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the communities of Lozovaya and Glubokoye in the Kharkov Region, Borozenskoye in the Kherson Region, Nevskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Popasnaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the general added.

The Russian air defense systems also shot down a Su-25 ground attack aircraft and a MiG-29 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force in the past 24 hours in their special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov said.

“In the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems shot down two aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force: a Su-25 plane near the community of Dolgenkoye in the Kharkov Region and a MiG-29 jet in the area of the community of Ingulets in the Dnepropetrovsk Region,” the spokesman said.

The Russian forces delivered strikes by precision missiles to wipe out Ukrainian military aircraft at the Dnepr airfield and the production capacities of the military hardware repair enterprise near Kharkov, Konashenkov reported.

“Air-launched precision missiles eliminated aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force at the Dnepr military airfield and destroyed the production capacities of the military hardware repair and recovery enterprise in the area of Kharkov,” the spokesman said.

Russia’s air-launched precision missiles also struck two Ukrainian command posts, about 30 areas of amassed manpower and military equipment and five enemy artillery positions, the general added.

“In particular, the strikes eliminated two batteries of multiple launch rocket systems in the areas of Soledar and Praskovievka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and also five missile/artillery arms and ammunition depots near the communities of Bakhmut and Berestovoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Loskutovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic,” the spokesman reported.

Russian missile and artillery troops eliminated over 350 Ukrainian militants, 11 missile/artillery arms, ammunition and fuel depots and two Grad multiple rocket launchers in their special operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov said.

“The missile and artillery troops hit 62 command posts, 138 artillery firing positions, and also 303 areas of amassed Ukrainian manpower and military hardware,” the spokesman said.

As the general specified, “the artillery strikes eliminated over 350 nationalists, seven pieces of armor, two Grad multiple launch rocket systems, five field artillery guns and mortars, 16 special vehicles, and also 11 missile/artillery arms, ammunition and fuel depots.”

Russian combat aircraft conducted sorties in the past 24 hours to eliminate two Ukrainian Grad multiple launch rocket systems and over 150 nationalists, Konashenkov said.

“Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft destroyed 46 areas of amassed Ukrainian manpower and military equipment. The air strikes eliminated over 150 nationalists, six tanks, four field artillery guns and two Ukrainian Grad multiple launch rocket systems,” the spokesman said.

“Overall, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 195 aircraft, 130 helicopters, 1,168 unmanned aerial vehicles, 336 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,484 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 499 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,843 field artillery guns and mortars and 3,528 special military motor vehicles,” the spokesman said.

Russian army engineers cleared over five square kilometers of mines on the territory of populated localities in the Holy Mountains national park in Donbass, Konashenkov said.

The Russian army engineer units continue removing mines from the park’s roads and forest belt in the area of the liberated communities of Svyatogorsk, Yarovaya, Studenok and Sosnovoye, the spokesman said.

“By now, the Russian field engineers have cleared over five square kilometers of mines on the territory of the populated areas of Yarovaya and Studenok, uncovered and eliminated 224 explosives, including 66 anti-personnel mines,” the general said.
