Russian MoD: 21 Ukrainian military sites destroyed, hundreds of extremists eliminated

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov has announced that Russian high-precision air-to-ground missiles destroyed 21 concentration areas of manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian forces, including the command posts of the Ukrainian Nazi formations (Kraken) and (Azov) in Kharkov region.

In a press briefing on Thursday, Konashenkov said that operational and tactical aircraft of the Russian army and UAVs shelled 15 assembly areas of Ukrainian manpower and military equipment, as ammunition and fuel depots were destroyed on the outskirts of the towns of Dolyna and Slaviansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Konashenkov added that as a result of the air strikes, up to 240 extremists were eliminated and 39 units of military equipment were destroyed, including Osa anti-aircraft missile system, 10 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, three Grad BM21 multiple launchers, seven artillery batteries and a mortar and 17 special military vehicles.

Konashenkov noted that a Su-25 fighter plane of the Ukrainian forces was shot down in Nikolaev region, and seven Ukrainian drones were destroyed on the outskirts of many cities in Lugansk People’s Republic, Kharkov region, and Donetsk People’s Republic.

Konashenkov stated that the Russian missile and artillery forces shelled 131 command centers, 146 artillery and mortar positions, in addition to 579 sites for manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Konashenkov pointed out that hundreds of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine were eliminated by Russian long-range precision weapons shortly after their arrival at the fighting sites.

Most of the mercenaries were eliminated in the combat zone due to the low level of training and the lack of real combat experience for them, Konashenkov noted.

He noted that according to international humanitarian law, mercenaries are not fighters, and what awaits them is criminal responsibility.
