Damascus, SANA- Health Minister, Hassan al-Ghabbash, discussed on Tuesday with Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Peter Maurer, means of cooperation in the domain of health sector and the services provided in Syria.
Ghabbash, in a press statement following the meeting, said that the situation of health sector in Syria was discussed with Maurer and the accompanying delegation in a way that enhances cooperation between the two sides and raise the level of cooperation with the committee’s local team in Syria.
The minister stressed that the International Committee of the Red Cross played a vital role in supporting the health sector in Syria during the years of the terrorist war.
Maurer, For his part, said that cooperation between the committee and the ministry has been continuous for more than 10 years, adding that during the meeting, some issues were discussed regarding cooperation and work to raise the readiness and the possibility reach the largest number of beneficiaries.
