Al-Halabi: “Made in Syria” exhibition in Benghazi witnesses a huge turnout

Benghazi, SANA- The “Made in Syria” exhibition for direct sale, which kicked off last Tuesday in the Libyan city of Benghazi, with the participation of more than 80 companies, has witnessed a huge turnout from visitors who flocked remarkably from all regions of Benghazi to buy Syrian products, according to Head of the Syrian Garment and Textile Exporters Association, Ragheed al-Halabi.

Al-Halabi said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the exhibition, which was inaugurated in the Tibesti Hotel in Sidi Hussein area of the Libyan city of Benghazi, is organized by the Regional Office of the Arab Exporters and Importers Union in Syria under the patronage of the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Trade.

He added that Syrian companies from different kinds in textiles, clothing, shoes and many other types of traditional Syrian food, sweets and drinks are participating in the exhibition, in addition to the products of various chemical industries such as detergents, perfumes, cosmetics, and others.

Al-Halabi shed light on the support that the exhibition received from a number of chambers of commerce and representatives of Libyan ministries, local administration and municipalities whose representatives attended the inauguration and expressed their support for this exhibition, which constitutes an important factor in developing trade and economic exchange between the two countries and promoting the spread of Syrian products in the Libyan markets.

Al-Halabi stressed that the Regional Office of the Arab Exporters and Importers Union in Syria is working hard to develop Syrian exports and is always ready to cooperate with those who wish to deal with Syrian producers and goods and provide them with the necessary facilities.
