Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry announced Monday that its armed forces successfully continued their operations, as they advanced 2km in regions affiliated with Ukrainian Armed Forces and then headed towards the southern outskirts of Novoselsky town.
“Units of the Luhansk People’s Republic advanced 5 km, and seized the towns of Ivanovna and Novoselsky and headed towards the outskirts of Novoyobilono and Terni towns, Russian Defense Ministry’s Official Spokesman, Maj-Gen. Igor Konashenkov, said in a press briefing on Monday.
He stated that over the past 24 hours, the Russian aviation and aerospace defense forces shot down four Su-24 aircraft of Ukrainian Air Force over Chernigov region, while a fighter jet of Su-27 was shot down in Kramatorsk region of Donetsk, adding that on Sunday, 19 Ukrainian drones were also shot down over many Ukrainian towns.
Konashenkov indicated that over the past day, the Russian military destroyed 36 Ukrainian military sites, including two command centers, two anti-air defense missile systems, a rocket-shells launcher, 3 ammunition depots, two warehouses for fuel and lubricants, and 23 Ukrainian combat equipment mobilization sites.
The spokesman stated that since the start of the special operation, many drones, tanks, other armored vehicles, rocket-shells launchers, field guns and mortars and a lot of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
