Moscow, SANA- Deputy Head of Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has downplayed the impact of Western sanctions on Russia, warning at the same time that economic sanctions, without bases, launched by the Western countries, will destroy the entire global economic structure.
‘In the west, they freeze assets of the financial institutions, even the central bank, and they also talk about seizing these assets or nationalizing them,’ Medvedev said in an interview with Sputnik and RT News Agencies published on Saturday.
He added that this is, of course, a war without any bases and it will end up with the destruction of the whole structure of global economy.
Medvedev underlined his country’s determination to defend its independence and sovereignty, stressing that it is undoubtedly ready to respond appropriately to any aggression on its independence and approach.
