Temperatures below average, frost expected over the mountains

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will remain from 3 to 6 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by cold and humid western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy over separate regions of the country, as snow is expected over the mountains, while it will be cold at night, warnings against frost and ice formation in the mountains and fog in some inlands areas.

The winds will be western to southwesterly between low to moderate in speed, while the sea waves will be low in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/7, Daraa 12/5, Homs 13/6, Lattakia 15/9, Aleppo 12/4 and Deir Ezzor 16/7.
