Al-Halqi calls for ensuring the citizens’ basic needs

Damascus, SANA-Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi said chambers of commerce, along with the government, are responsible for ensuring the citizens’ needs of the basic materials with suitable prices, as well as responding to the demands of comprehensive development process.

Al-Halqi, meeting Chairman and members of Damascus Chamber of Commerce, said the democratic practices and the fair, honest competition among members of chambers of commerce is an additional proof on the vitality of the Syrian people, calling for boosting the competition capability of the Syrian products in the international markets.

He also called for integration of roles among commercial, industrial chambers and the exporters’ federation to revive the Syrian industries and re-run the production circle to increase trade and economic activity.

Ghassan Qalaa, Head of Damascus Chamber of Commerce, affirmed that the chamber will cooperate with the government as one spirit to support and develop national economy and boost struggle of the people and army against the terrorist war.
