Damascus Countryside, (SANA) A delegation representing the Syrian communities in France and Belgium arrived Monday in Jdaidet Yabous crossing, Damascus Countryside to participate in the presidential elections scheduled on Tuesday.
Members of the delegation told SANA that they came to Syria after the French and Belgian governments have deprived them from practicing their democratic rights in the elections to make the presidential elections in Syria a success.
They expressed support to their homeland and army in countering terrorism.
They touched upon the obstacles they faced at the airports, like cancelling the booking and flights without mentioning the reasons.
Chairman of the Expatriates Gathering for Syria Omran al-Khatib said that the French government prevented them from practicing their right to vote therefore they challenged its decision and came to Syria to elect among our people.
The delegation also pointed out that the western democracy is false, asserting that Syria is the country of democracy and freedom.
Syrian community in Egypt celebrate President al-Assad’s presidential win
Celebrating President Bashar al-Assad’s presidential elections win, members of the Syrian community in Egypt and Egyptian artists and politicians held a massive popular event outside the Syrian consular mission headquarters in Cairo.
Participants in the event asserted that the Syrian people won through their will and the heroism of the Syrian Arab army and wisdom of the Syrian leadership, adding that ultimate victory will be achieved through eliminating the last remains of terrorists for Syria to become stronger and better than ever before.
