Cartoonist Raed Khalil wins Polish Geological Institute’s award

Damascus, SANA- Polish Geological Institute, National Research Institute awarded the prize of international drawing competition to the Syrian cartoonist Raed Khalil who outperform artists  out of 52 countries.

The competition entitled the scientist’s name, Albert Einstein, in which 376 painters participated in it, with 692 paintings whose themes centered on energy and its peaceful uses in a satirical artistic style.

Regarding the winning painting by the artist Khalil, it was distinguished by its depiction of the atomic energy logo in the form of the metal strip that wraps the kerosene old light bottle.

Khalil seeks to shed light on social, humanitarian and national issues in his critical paintings, as well the positive and negative aspects of life and society all over the world.

The artist, Khalil who born in 1973, is a cartoonist for Al-Baath newspaper and Syria TV, won several local, Arab and international awards.
