Russia, Italy discuss political solution to crisis in Syria

Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov and Special Envoy for Syria, Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Stefano Ravagnan, discussed on Friday importance of coordinating international efforts to advance the political process in Syria, in implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2254.

 The talks dealt with tasks of reconstructing Syria after resolving the crisis in it, and accelerating to exceed the difficult situation in the economic, social and humanitarian domains, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

 Russian President’s Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev and Italian Ambassador in Moscow attended the meeting.
