Sweida, SANA – Two civilians were injured on Friday when a medium-sized fuel tanker truck exploded near the Technical Services Directorate in Sweida.
A source at the Police Command told SANA that the tanker’s owner was welding another tanker near it, causing the full tanker to catch fire and explode.
The fire was put out by firefighters and the injured civilians were rushed to Sweida National Hospital. The accident did not cause any more damage than the injuries and the damage to the tanker.
