Two stages of restoration works of Muzeireeb Castle, Roman amphitheater in Daraa nearly completed

Daraa, SANA- Daraa Antiquities Department has completed the restoration work of the 2nd stage of Muzeireeb Castle and the 1st stage of the Roman amphitheater in Daraa al-Balad.

Head of Daraa Antiquities Department, Dr. Muhammad Khair Nasrallah, said, in a statement to SANA reporter on Tuesday, that the restoration works of Muzeireeb Castle included dismantling and installing stone facades and presenting a carved stone similar to the main stone, while restoring the Roman amphitheater included dismantling and installing stone facades and cellars.

Nasrallah added that the Department of Antiquities is supervising the restoration work of the Omari Mosque in Daraa al-Balad and the emergency restoration of the ancient Shaqra Church, asserting that it continues the archeological documentation project of some archeological sites in Daraa province.
